What do the two have in common?  The answer is:  More than you think.

Coffee is BIG business, folks.  Organo Gold coffees and teas are different because they are infused with the tasteless & odorless 'king of herbs', Ganoderma.  The health benefits of Ganoderma are legendary.  But what's that got to do with Dunkin Donuts?  The answer is:  Coffee and healthy products are both BIG business.

Dunkin Donuts has been gradually re-making its image since 2006, when the chain unveiled its ‘America Runs on Dunkin’ slogan, a reference not to its namesake baked goods but its coffee: a cheaper, down-home alternative to pricey, hoity-toity Starbucks.  Seven years later, as the company looks to expand from its east coast roots to the west, Dunkin is no longer beating around the proverbial bush. With coffee and other drinks accounting for 58% of US franchisee-reported sales in 2012, the outfit’s CFO has admitted that the future is not in Powdered Sugar or Boston Kreme. “We are a beverage company,” Paul Carbone told investors and analysts this week, stirring nostalgia by referring to Dunkin Donuts’ beloved mascot of the 1980s and 1990s: “Fred the Baker is not coming back.”

Speaking at investment bank Jefferies’ annual consumer conference, Carbone called Dunkin Donuts’ beverage business the “holy grail” for profitability, with the highest margins of all its sales categories. As Dunkin prepares to head “west of the Mississippi”, as Carbone put it, the company is rolling out a national media campaign focused on its drinks rather than any of its food offerings. Dunkin’s eye is on the prize: California, where the Boston-based chain has no presence to date, but where top competitor Starbucks operates well over 2,000 stores — more than triple the number in the Seattle coffee giant’s second most saturated state, Texas. Carbone said the company has been targeting California with its coffee ads since 2010, despite having no plans to open up shop there until 2015. “By the time we’re in California, they’ll have seen five years of national media focused on beverages,” he said of the plan.

Today, Dunkin Donuts operates around 7,400 US stores, with its core business in New England, New York and other eastern markets including Pennsylvania and Florida. The chain broke ground in Las Vegas in 2005, marking its first big westward move. The aim, said Carbone, is to have 15,000 outlets up and running in the next few years, with California stores accounting for a significant chunk of this new real estate. While Dunkin will continue pushing its coffee menu to Californians, the chain seems to be aiming squarely at health-conscious Golden State residents with an unexpected announcement this week. It’ll start selling gluten-free muffins and donuts later this year, becoming the first major fast food outlet to jump on the anti-wheat bandwagon. Flour-loving Fred the Baker would be out of business.

Organo Gold and an interesting fact

Almost half of the world actually prefers instant coffee.

That's interesting because the primary way that we market our coffee is by passing out samples to coffee drinkers.  It's pretty simple, really.  Each sample is enough to brew up one cup.  Of course, Organo Gold also has regular, coffee-pot packs and now has the new BrewKups for the Keurig machines.  But those sample packs of pre-brewed coffee are what built this business and passing them out works, because people are all about convenience.

So if you're considering joining the Organo Gold family and starting your own coffee business, don't doubt that the individual coffee packets are popular.  They are.  Also, you can carry them with you anywhere.  In my case, I'm so used to my Organo Gold coffee that I can't drink anything else.  So at work, I just get hot water from the machine in the cafeteria and pour one my individual coffee packs in it.  It's convenient, it's so much better than the 'company' coffee pot and I love it.

The Organo Gold pay plan explained... and everything else

It seems like nobody wants to read anything, but everybody likes videos.  That's a good thing if you're considering your own Organo Gold business.  They've got instruction videos for EVERYTHING.  For example, whenever I'm talking to someone about coffee, they will inevitably ask about the company's pay plan.  Rather then spending an hour (or more) explaining it, I simply refer them to this set of videos.

Once someone joins my team, they will tend to have many more questions.  That's fine, I'm here to help.  But better yet, there is a HELP DESK in the Back Office of your replicated website that has... you guessed it... instruction videos for everything.

Questions like these ALL have a video that explains the answer:  'What is the difference between active and qualified'?  'Why am I losing points?'  'What is a matching bonus?'  'Which orders go to uni-level?'  'What does it mean by getting 60-day qualification by signing up with a builder pack?'

Organo Gold and your Dual Team (Part II)

Recently, I outlined the first two methods for earning income with your new Organo Gold business - i.e. Retail Sales and Promo Pack Commissions. That was Part I of explaining the Dual Team concept.  I felt that it was important to understand the foundation of this business before explaining additional income streams.  Now that we've covered that, let's talk about the Dual Team!

The Dual Team concept is very simple and it's the third method of earning regular income in your Organo Gold business (there are seven, altogether!).  It's also very important to understand both its power and why it's part of the system.

In order for an Organo Gold distributor to benefit from the Dual Team pay structure, she or he must first be 'Dual Team Qualified' in order to participate in it.  Achieving this is simple enough.  First, you must be active in your business and that means purchasing a minimum amount of product on a monthly basis - roughly $50 worth.  (That's why I always recommend the auto-ship.  That way, you never have to worry about staying qualified.)  Beyond that, you need to have enrolled one distributor on your 'right side' and one on your 'left side'.  What do I mean by 'right' and 'left'?  The Dual Team commission plan is based on your sales organization having a binary structure to it - i.e. a right side and a left side.  You'll be able to view it easily in your Back Office once you get started.

Beyond that, your two enrolled distributors also have to be active to the tune of about $50 monthly when they purchase their products.  Again, I recommend that everyone be on the auto-ship.  It makes life so much easier.  Anyway, that's it.  You being active, plus those two being active, means that you are now Dual Team Qualified.

Some may ask, "Hey wait a minute, you mean all three of us have to be buying a minimum amount of product every month for me to be qualified?"  The answer is yes, of course.  That's why it's a requirement.  After all, this is your business.  You should already desire enough inventory to have some products to consume, sample and retail.  Also, you definitely do NOT want to miss out on Dual Team earnings.  So when you join my Organo Gold team, your first order of business is to lay your foundation with some coffee/tea drinking customers and then get your Dual Team set up ASAP.

Once you are Dual Team Qualified, you get paid weekly for the first purchases of everyone in your entire sales organization... down to INFINITY.  Now you might be asking, "Hey wait a minute, did you just their 'first' purchases?"  Yes, your Dual Team is going to grow and grow and grow because it develops based upon the efforts of your recruits, their recruits and even 'matrix spillover' from those above you, such as from me.  There will eventually be many hundreds, or even thousands, in it - people you will never know or meet.  All you need to know is that you will receive a commission check every week based upon their first purchases from the company.  Remember, the Dual Team extends downward to infinity.

Think of it like a bag of microwave popcorn.  When you first put it in the microwave, nothing happens.  Then there's one little pop, then another... and then another.  Soon the popping increases in intensity so much that it's popping non-stop!  The Dual Team is just like that.  But instead of popping corn, it's popping out commission checks... into infinity!

Organo Gold and your Dual Team (Part I)

The Dual Team is one of the most explosive parts of the Organo Gold compensation plan that helps new business-builders and future Organo Gold DIAMONDS earn income weekly.  The Dual Team Bonus is the 3rd Way that Organo Gold reps can earn income (there are Seven).  The purpose of this two-part post is to illustrate it’s power and simplicity.

Most often, new Organo Gold distributors get confused when they are first introduced to the Dual Team concept, but it’s brilliance is in its simplicity and power.  Its important to note: the Dual Team structure was inserted into the Organo Gold compensation plan on purpose and not by accident.

But before you try to understand the power of the Dual Team, it is crucial that you really 'get' the first Two Ways that you can generate income with Organo Gold.  The first way is with retail profits.  Simply put, as an Organo Gold Distributor, you purchase products at wholesale and then sell them at retail to your customers. 100% of the profits you generate are yours to keep.  Simple enough, right?  You earn retail profits from all your customers, just like any traditional coffee shop or gourmet-coffee retailer.  You don't see any of them offering their customers discounts on coffee or selling to their customers at wholesale, because they are selling to their customers.  Re-read that last sentence a few times, think about it, then keep reading.

The second way that you can earn extra income is with the Fast Start Bonus.  The Fast Start Bonus is generated as you personally enroll new distributors who want to start a coffee business for themselves.  Do not confuse a business builder with a customer.  Customers have ZERO interest in the business (at first).  They just want to drink their Organo Gold coffee, tea, hot chocolate and mocha because they like the way it tastes and the way it makes them feel.  However, when an individual wants to feel good and earn money, they would purchase what is called an Organo Gold Product Pack in order to get their business started fast.  When you sell this product pack, a bonus check is generated based upon the pack that you sold.   

Bronze = $20.00  – Silver = $80.00 and finally, the popular Gold Pack = $150.00 

Buying retail and selling wholesale is easy to understand and that's the First Way to earn money with Organo Gold products.  Receiving a Fast Start bonus when you help someone else start their own Organo Gold business is the Second Way to earn money here.  That's easy to understand too.  You receive a commission check depending upon what product pack they purchase when they get started with their new business.

Celebrity endorsements can help, unless the last name is Lohan, Beiber... or Cyrus

Seriously.  Would you hire Lindsay Lohan, Justin Beiber or Miley Cyrus as a product representative?  That would be risky because you don't know what they're going to do next.

Race car drivers are probably the most famous celebrity advertisers because of the way their cars are painted and all the company logos on their uniforms. But even they sometimes lose their sponsorships because they do or say something wrong or controversial.  And when it happens, it's usually a shock to everyone.

I'll give you an example.  Suppose you hire a Country & Western star to represent a down-home, wholesome product like Betty Crocker pancake or cornbread mix.  Or perhaps, you'd like for this famous C&W star to be associated with your line of tractors, trucks, jeans or even chewing tobacco.  And then by surprise, that celebrity creates what may well be the worst thing that anyone has ever seen or heard:  http://www.ijreview.com/2014/02/114662-family-twerks-together-billy-ray-cyrus-remakes-hit-song

My apologies if you actually 'like' that, but I feel that it has the potential to actually unite a divided nation in revulsion and disgust.  So the goal of your celebrity endorsement would likely go off a cliff in flames.


Pepsi famously had Michael Jackson endorse their product in a commercial.  Fortunately for them, he didn't do it more recently.  They also had a contract with Madonna for product endorsements that they canceled after she created a controversial music video.  Same thing with Lil Wayne.  That happens a lot with celebrities because they're only human and their faults and failings get magnified in the media.  When they screw up, get into politics, or their personality takes a radical change, the celebrity may bring unwanted negative attributes to the product or company brand.  Names like Paula Deen, Lance Armstrong, Tiger Woods, Michael Phelps, Chris Brown and even Whoopi Goldberg come to mind.

The celebrity contracts are scaled in price.  It's one price to use the celebrity's image on a cereal box or a billboard, for example.  It's more if the image includes them holding the product and even more still if they actually consume it (such as Michael Jackson actually drinking a Pepsi during that commercial he made).  That's why businesses take a big risk with this type of advertising strategy.  They can throw a lot of money down the drain that way if things go sour.

That's why the the best kind of product endorsement is the unpaid kind, such as a famous actor (who people like) that wears your watch or your shirt.  It could be a famous athlete who drives your car or eats at your restaurant.  That's pretty much the ultimate endorsement, right?  That happens a lot and it's good when it does.  You're not paying them!

Interestingly, Danny Glover has joined Organo Gold as a distributor - NOT as a paid product representative, but as a regular old distributor, just like me (patting myself on the back).  Though he's a well-loved actor, he can be controversial when he starts talking politics.  But he decided to start his own coffee and tea business because he believes in the company and understands the life-long income potential.  The only way he gets paid is if he successfully develops his business.

Like I said, that's the BEST kind of celebrity endorsement...

Houston Dunkin' Donuts

If you're looking for a Dunkin' Donuts in Houston, you're probably looking for breakfast!  They've got good stuff, that's for sure.  And their coffee is great.  I can already smell it brewing!  But here's the problem.  Dunkin' Donuts has never (not even once) sent me a check for drinking or recommending their coffee.  In fact, I'm pretty sure I won't receive a check for helping you find the nearest store.

That's why I drink the coffee that pays - and it pays very, very well.
