Millions duped by Pyramid Scheme!

How many people, world-wide, have been suckered into this famous pyramid scheme?

We all hear about these too-good-to-be true scams where people are being recruited to slave away so that someone else can get rich. You would think that people would catch on after a while, but they just keep falling for this silly stuff.

The pyramid scheme that I'm getting ready to describe for you isn't even new!  It's been going on for a long time, and that's why millions have been suckered into it.  I've fallen for it myself!  But what I cannot find anywhere is some evidence that anybody whoever fell for this pyramid scheme reaches the financial security and freedom that they were promised.  I'm talking nobody.  How in the world do they keep recruiting new people into this scam?

It's CRAZY.

OK, so which pyramid scheme am I talking about?  Here are the key characteristics of the 'deal' that will be offered to you:

* You have to PAY just to get training. Training can last from 2 to 4 years, or more.
* No money to get trained? They can arrange for loans. (sounds legit, right?)
* The training that you receive may or may not be related to the job you will be doing!  But you will get a nice piece of paper anyway, showing that you completed the training.
* Once the training is completed, you will have to "apply" for this program.  Acceptance is NOT guaranteed!
* Regardless of whether or not you are accepted into the program, you still must pay that loan back... with interest!
* You will have no control over who you work with, your schedule, your job description, or your working conditions!
* If someone decides to accept you into this system, THEY will decide your pay level!
* Your chances of earning more than they do is pretty much non-existent.  Only those at the top of the pyramid earn any money!
* The very moment you stop doing the work, your income will stop.


This scam has been going on for a long time - long enough that we actually have statistics to show how this deal ends up for people that participate.  Statistically speaking, when people fall for this scam and STICK WITH IT until retirement...:

* 63% will have to rely on friends, family, or the government in order to survive.
* 29% will be dead before they even get that far.
* 4% will have enough capital to exist.
* 1% will be considered "wealthy."

"What is the name of this pyramid scheme", you ask?  Clearly any sane person would want to avoid such a ripoff, right?  So what exactly are we talking about here?

It's called the traditional job.


Think about it:

You PAY to get a 2 to 4 year degree.  After you get the degree, you get to hit the streets hoping someone will "give" you one of these jobs.  If you're "lucky" enough to get a job, it may or may not be in the field you actually studied in college.  Whoever hires you decides what your life looks like, when you get out of bed, when you get to eat lunch, how much time you can have with your family, how much money you can earn (which then determines what your vacations look like, the kind of car you drive, the neighborhood you live in, the clothes you wear)... it's just INSANE!

Remember... you PAID to get involved in this scam!  Which brings me to that loan you took out to get this "training". That loan must be paid back, whether or not you are able to actually get one of these ripoff jobs.  They even hold recruitment meetings (in high school, we called them "job fairs" or "career day").


Alright, I admit that all of the above is kind of a humorous illustration.  In fact, I still work in the medical field and it's a great career.  I recommend it actually! (laughing)

The problem is that I can't retire on it and it can't provide the lifestyle that I really want.  When you factor in inflation, taxes and the overall cost of living (everything keeps going up), you'd have to have a very rare 'job' that pays enough for:  A) You to have the lifestyle that you really want.  B) To have the free time that you really need.  C) To provide for a healthy, care-free retirement.

Fortunately, I am proud to say that I have established a successful side-business, using the 'Network Marketing' model.  Network marketing is a distribution model where you can be paid for sharing products and services with others.  Some of the reasons I chose the network marketing model include:

* Low start-up costs.
* Minimal training required.
* Potential to earn as much money as you are willing to work for.
* Option to select the people you work with.
* Flexibility in scheduling.

I encourage you to take a look at the Network Marketing model to see if there may be something in it for you.  And trust me, it's not a 'pyramid scheme'.

Does your coffee cup annoy others?

Actually, lots and lots of people like to drink from funny mugs, but it doesn't necessarily mean that they're 'annoying' to look at.  I'm talking about mugs shaped like cartoon characters, mugs with funny quotes on them or even goofy-looking souvenir mugs.  They've even got mugs with funny stuff on the bottom that others only see when you've got it tilted up and you're draining that last swallow.

But somehow I've got a feeling that if you set this thing up on your office desk, you'd be making a 'statement' about how much of an Apple fan you are... and that just seems to annoy certain people.

I'm not personally saying that there's anything wrong with that - much like having a coffee mug that looks like Darth Vader's helmet or President Obama's head.

I just know how Mac people are sometimes 'hated' by others.  Strange but true!  I think some of the Mac hate has to do with the fact that Apple products are more likely to be purchased just for appearances.  A Dell laptop is far more anonymous than a Macbook Air, but accomplishes the same basic user tasks of browsing the internet, writing a letter, doing some spreadsheet work, or watching some streaming video.  Why spend more?  I'm sure you have your reasons, but for folks like my dolt cousin, it's because "OMG SHINY".

I will compare it to cars.  Kim Kardashian has a Ferrari, but you know it's for appearances - she isn't tracking it, racing it, and probably barely even speeds in it.  Meanwhile, some car buff would kill to actually use that car at a larger fraction of its capabilities.  At the lower level, why buy a BMW if you don't care about sport suspensions and sport bucket seats?  Because they aren't as anonymous or inexpensive as a Honda or a Ford.

In other words, nobody likes a show-off.


Ah well, enjoy your coffee anyway... from whatever mug you like.  Because, you know what?  Once you achieve real freedom with Organo Gold, you can do whatever you want!

Nobody wants to be called a loser, but how would you describe yourself?

If you would describe yourself as a 'winner', then that's a good thing.  It shows self-confidence and a can-do attitude, not to mention living a blessed and contented life.  It's my own personal belief, but I tend to lump people into three categories:  Winners, Losers and Wayward Winners.

The winners are those who know what they want, understand their potential and makes things happen (rather than waiting for them to happen).  They squeeze the maximum 'juice' out of life because of their faith, determination and persistence.  They don't need anyone else to motivate them or tell them what to think and feel.  Losers, on the other hand, aren't 'bad people'.  They simply allow circumstances to shape their lives and their self-image... and then blame those circumstances on something or someone else.

I happen to believe that there is a third group as well. This group consists of potential winners whose lives are just slightly out of alignment. I call them wayward winners.  Perhaps they've hit a bump or two in life's journey, and that's knocked them off course and got them temporarily befuddled. A failed relationship, a lost job, financial problems, un-formed goals, a lack of parental support, illness - many things can send us off course temporarily.  That's called life.  Wayward winners are not lost souls; they just need some tweaking, coaching, nudging and a clear course of action to get them back on course. A map might be nice. Many of these wayward winners are easily identifiable because they are always searching.

Right now, there are many wayward winners out there braving rain, sleet and snow because they still believe that they have untapped talents. They attend motivational seminars, listen to inspirational cd's and they plunge onward, believing that sooner or later they will find their way again.  Other wayward winners have temporarily given up.  That's bad.  They are damaged and disoriented - their confidence badly eroded. They tend to drift through life numbly... with precious years passing them by. 

It is difficult for others to understand the rawness of your tragic loss, your terrible defeat, your broken heart or the aching emptiness of your temporarily unguided spirit.  We've all been there, in one way or another.  But everyone has the capacity to change - to lead meaningful and productive lives by awakening our consciousness to new possibilities.  Usually, it's just a subtle shift in attitude.  But you still need to brace yourself for tough times when you have the goal of changing your life.  When you get into your seat on an airplane, what is the first thing they tell you to do? Fasten your seat belt. Brace yourself for the turbulence because it's going to happen.  When you decide to move your life to the next level of accomplishment (and become a winner!), you must fasten your mental and spiritual seat belts because it is going to be a while before you reach that comfortable level again.  It won't happen overnight, and that's why you need FAITH. You will reach your destination, but you must endure the turbulence of change in order to grow out of your current situation.

Try this technique to help you through the difficult times of change and growth. Find four reasons why you cannot succumb to your fears and your troubles and write them down. Find those deep sources of motivation that can lift you out of the turbulence and above the clouds. You must change your life because, for example:

*You have not yet tapped the talents given you.
*You want to leave something more for your children.
*You want to live life rather than letting life live you.
*You want to do what makes YOU happy.

You simply have to ask yourself, "How badly do I want these things?"  In the end, the strength of your determination and faith is what separates the winners from the losers.  Do you agree or disagree?

“Man was not meant to fly.”  Oops. Thanks, Wright Brothers.  Now we can fly all over the world, to the moon and beyond!

“That's a Pyramid Scheme.”  When Wall Street Journal publishes a 40 page spread on the Direct Selling Industry and refers to it as “The Ultimate Social Business Model”, it may be time to consider that what you’ve always believed to be “true” may not be entirely accurate.

In 2010, Direct Selling Companies generated over $125 billion in revenue.  Over 75 million men and women in more than 150 countries participated.  That number has only increased in 2013.  There are both Publicly Held Direct Selling Companies and there are Privately Held Direct Selling Companies.  If you’ve looked at the industry (and/or Organo Gold) and decided that you prefer a job where someone else gets more benefit from your labor than you do, that’s fine. Some people prefer the appearance and promise of “security”.  That's their belief (though others are realizing that “job security” is a lie). But before you start banging the “pyramid” drum, you may want to educate yourself on the industry... and perhaps get some new beliefs.

Times are changing. We know the world isn’t flat. We blasted the 4 minute mile. We fly around the world in a matter of hours and we've walked on the moon. The economy is changing. Get the facts for yourself and remember this:  "Fear tolerated is faith contaminated!"

As I compose this blog post today, I am sitting here thinking about some of my recent conversations with people who say things like, "Man, I just need a couple of people to really work this thing and I know it'll take off."  But if that's not happening, and you are still waiting for these people to show up in your life, then I suggest starting here, by changing your beliefs about yourself:

Are YOU being the person you would want in your own business?  You are if you believe you are!  You've got to be that person before you expect others to be.  Are YOU really working this thing to make YOUR business take off?  You will if you believe in yourself!  They've got to see you working in order to be inspired.  Would YOU want to have YOU in your business?  Damn right!  BELIEVE it!

What do you spend your time thinking about?  Assuming that you enjoy good health, I can 100% guarantee that your station in life is a result of your consistent thoughts.  While everybody wants more money (and the freedom it brings), the vast majority of people don't consistently think about why they want that freedom.  They don't picture it in their minds consistently and so their circumstances remain the same.

Say, for example, that you want to get out of your old house and get into a new and better one.  Do you have a burning reason why, that you hold at the forefront of your thoughts on a daily basis?  I bet that if your house was ON FIRE, you'd have a burning reason to get out!  But that's the secret to real financial freedom and how Organo Gold can change your life - i.e. the 'reason why'.  This business isn't hard.  It's easy, in fact.  But it is hard if you don't have a burning reason why you have to succeed.  The details of the marketing plan, the ingredients in the products, the coaching and training process - none of that matters as much as the picture you hold in your mind of what you want out of life... and why!

Success Tip:  Don't join this business and spend any time trying to figure out how to "get people to sign up".  Instead, look for folks that are hungry for change and ready to work. It 's a good plan but it won't work without you. You've got to work it. It is the human effort that counts. If you could send a sales manual out to recruit - wouldn't that be lovely? The major thing that makes the difference is what YOU do.

In order to have more, you need to become more. The guy says "If I had a good job I would really pour it on, but I have this lousy job so I just goof off." If that is your philosophy, you are destined to stay there. Some people say if I had a lot of money I would be really generous, but I don't have much so I'm not generous. See, you've got to change that philosophy or you will never have "the lots of money." Unless YOU change, IT won't change. Amazingly, however, when we throw out our blame list and start becoming more ourselves - the difference is everything else will begin to change around us.

The 4th of July is over

It seems like yesterday, doesn't it?  That's how fast time passes!

A lot of people here in the US did what they always do on the 4th of July - celebrating the Declaration of Independence from King George and the British. For many, 'celebrating independence' really just refers to cooking outside, drinking too much and watching some fireworks late into the evening.  Then (in the morning) they'll simply go back to waking up when they're told to, in order fight through traffic to get to a job they can't stand... to earn a pay check that is too little.

BUT... if you're willing to plug into the system, put in the work, keep inviting prospects, and press forward when your "friends" reject you, you can get to the place where you truly CELEBRATE REAL INDEPENDENCE!
